Ground material

Ground material

To ensure a sorted delivery of waste components from engineered synthetic materials, at AURORA we operate a “lean logistics” system. This means we avoid mixing plastics, already at the initial “workbench” site of the customer. Our staff at the sorting and disassembly lines optimise the output and prepare the plastic material’s component parts for the milling procedure, which we carry out using high-performance grinding mills. The next step involves processing the ground material into re-granulate or re-compounds which can then be reintroduced into the production cycle. This can be done by the customers themselves, on whose behalf we manufacture client-specified re-compounds or re-granulate using a custom-milling process. Alternatively, we procure the rejected material from the customer and sell it on to another purchaser as re-compounds or re-granulate.

Producing high-quality re-granulate and re-compounds as substitutes for new goods

• Manufacture and distribution of pellets for injection moulding
• Applications in diverse areas with particular focus on the auto industry
• Preparing customer-oriented solutions for specific requirements, following Tier 1 or OEM guidelines
• Development of individual products in close cooperation with clients
• Consistently high quality of AURORA products
• Use of high-grade raw materials (polymers, additives, modifiers, etc.)
• Adherence to delivery dates/short turnaround times for delivery
• Cost benefits compared to the use of primary raw materials (for new goods)
